Drawing class
Secondary Stages of Process for Music Poster
Okay, so this is phase 2 of the process work for illustration, the thumbnail has been decided upon, the necessary variations have been made.
Now, we get into the actual drawing itself
First, all of the elements of the piece are photo-collaged into place
Then a contour study is made, just to get a rough idea for placement and where the piece is headed
The finished line drawing isn't a finished work at all but a semi-resolved piece that will serve as ground zero for the finished product. Thus, a contour drawing is made on tracing paper on top of that, to alter elements, shift positioning of things like the bubbles, grass and butterflies, and then it is taken to the actually FINISHED line drawing

Music Poster
This is an assignment that promotes a certain type of music, I.E. Rock, Pop, Hiphop
I chose to do a poster with Certain Lyrics from the rock band Fuel,
The Lyrics are "She dreams a champagne dream, Strawberry surprise, pink linen on white paper, lavender and cream, fields of butterflies, reality escapes her"
The concept was a woman sitting on a bed with a pink sheet, with flowing hair and a silky gown, with a champagne glass that is emanating bubbles that turn into butterflies
Subject matter was Rock/Pop - Electronica
and Here is what I came up with
From Thumbnails to thumbnail variations
Media Project Ink Fish
This was an Ink assignment, the subject matter was a fish, just a plain old run of the mill fish, for my subject, I used a hammerhead shark surprising a snorkeler, Here is my process
